What is chiropractic?

A system of diagnosis and treatments based on the concept that the nervous system coordinates all of the body's functions, and that disease results from a lack of normal nerve function

How do I know if chiropractic can help me?

Chiropractic care has helped thousands of people achieve better levels of health, naturally through the years.  From headaches to digestive disorders to sciatica, our philosophy is based on the premise that the body needs no help, just no interference.  If there is interference in your nerve system, compromising your body's ability to heal, then Chiropractic is right for you.  The only way to determine if there is interference in your nerve system (also known as a subluxation) is to get checked by a Chiropractor.

What is an adjustment?

An adjustment is a specifically delivered force into the spine that is designed to remove pressure on the nerves.  A typical adjustment in our office is unlike any other adjustment in Chiropractic.  Our state-of-the-art technology allows us to adjust the spine very gently, and with unparelled precision. 

Why does my back pop and crack during an adjustment?

The cracking or popping noise occurs as the joint is opened.  There are small pockets of air or bubbles in the tissue fluid surrounding the joint. When the joint tissues are stretched during an adjustment, the pockets of air 'pop' creating a cracking sound.

What is a subluxation?

A misalignment of bones within joints that interfere with the flow of nerve impulses. Also diminishes  the body’s ability to stay healthy.

Are adjustments painful?

A specifically delivered adjustment with our technology is actually just the opposite, very comfortable.  The Pro-Adjuster instrument uses high intensity, low force vibrations to slowly move bones of the spine back into place.  In fact, most of our patients are astounded at it's effectiveness. 

Once you go to a chiropractor, do you have to go for life?

This is one of the most common misconceptions in our society today.  Patients are never required to get adjusted for the rest of their life.  However, most people, once they understand Chiropractic and notice how much more healthy they are once under care, choose a lifetime wellness program for themselves and their families.  

Should children see a chiropractor?
